Macros Plus users can set different caloric, macronutrients and micronutrient goals for different days of the week.

This is commonly used for “carb cycling” and for planning “cheat days” without getting out of control. You can also use it to increase your caloric goals only on your training days.

First, you must create the different diet distributions that you want to use, for example, one for your rest days and another one for your training days. Follow the next steps to create the distributions:

  • Open the distributions tab (the second tab of the app)
  • Tap the distribution options button (the three dots icon at the top right)
  • Select “Add new distribution
  • Choose a name for this distribution and tap “Add
  • Then, you can update the distribution goals, the calories, macronutrients and micronutrients can be customized without affecting other distributions
  • Once you have finished setting goals, you can repeat the same process to create another distribution or you can tap the current distribution name to select and update another distribution already created

Once all your desired distributions are created, it is time to assign them to each day of the week, follow the next steps to do so:

  • Open the calorie counter (the third tab of the app)
  • Tap on the currently assigned distribution name (it appears in orange at the left of the “Details” button)
  • Set the distributions previously created to each day of the week

And that’s all! Now the Macros app will automatically set the proper distribution goals to each day of the week. Note that these changes will only affect the present and future days, days in the past will not be affected to not spoil your historical data.

Note: This feature is only available in the Plus version of the app.
